My favourite TV show

There are so many reasons to answer why am I completely in love with this tv show, but i'll tell you a few of them.
To beginning, I really like that every season has a different story, but somehow they all belongs to the same universe; it has a lot of connections and cameos between seasons; they usually use the same actors for different characters along the seasons (sometimes even in the same season). They also includes always lots of flashbacks and flashforward which makes easier to understand. And  the icing of the cake is that in every season you would find so much real life cases.

At the moment American Horror Story (AHS) count with 10 seasons (the last one recently release) and a spin-off named "American Horror Stories" which every episode relates a different story.

As I've said before, every season of the series is a different story so I'm gonna resume each storyline

1. Murder House (2011):  The story goes around the Harmon family, who moves on a really cheap house in a poor attempt to fix their relationship after an abortion and a cheating from the father. Bad news? The house is fulled of spirits and a long record of murder and tragedies (at first they don't know it obviously) .

2. Asylum(2012): The mental institution Briarcliff Manor. Here's Kit Walker, a guy who truly believes that aliens took away his wife, but everyone thinks he's a serial killer known as bloody face. We also know Lana Winter, a reporter interested in bloody face's story, but she ended confine there for being gay. And a third important character is Sister Jude, the nun who manages this institution. As you can imagine, inside this place, there's so much corruption and bad traits of the patients.

3. Coven (2013): Witches descendents from Salem are facing extinction and mysterious attacks. Set in Miss Robichaux Academy (New Orleans) the story turns around a little group of young witches who are there to learn more about their abilities and protection.

4. Freak show (2014): As the name says, this season is about the old freak shows, this one arrives in the town of Jupiter in Florida and it's followed by 2 swindlers who wants body parts of the freaks to sell it. At the same time, there's a serial killer threatening the citizens.

5. Hotel (2015): Place in the Hotel Cortéz. Here we follow the owner of the hotel, known as the countess and also a homicide detective, who's investigating a series of horrific murderers which lead him to this confusing  hotel.

6. Roanoke (2016): This season starts with a documentary named "My Roanoke nightmare" which is about a couple who moves into a colonial house in North Carolina where paranormal things happens. Time after, thanks to the success of it, the producer decides to do the second part "Return to Roanoke: Three days in hell", where the actors and the original people are putting together in the house for the three blood moon days.

7. Cult (2017): Set in Detroit, the story follows a new yorker woman who's traumatized by the 11th of September attacks and developed 3 phobias. Thanks to her wife, the next years she could control them, but after Donald Trump's election, her fears starts getting worse. There are clowns attacks to her, and her wife think that she's having a psychotic episode, lack of support, she take drastic steps.

8. Apocalypse(2018): A nuclear apocalypse and the only way to survive is in safe sites create by "The cooperative" a mysterious corporation. Of course only rich people can go in there and a few with a special DNA. In the "Outspot 3", the leaders are changing the rules and a member of The cooperative arrives to evaluate them. But nothing is how it looks like and behind this scenario, a final battle between good and evil. This season is a crossover between coven and murder house.

9. 1984 (2019): Time after Camp Redwood's massacre. The murder Mr. Jingless is in a mental institution so the camp's opening the doors again. The day before the kids arrive, the monitors must be there to prepare everything. This year a group of friends got the job so they're going to the camp thinking that is going to be a great experience.

10. Double feature (2021 thanks covid): Another family moving to the worst place they found, in this case we have A writer with a mental block, his wife and their violin obsessive daughter. When they arrived, the real citizens show themselves and the writer finds a fast solution to his mental block, but of course, it has a cost. In this season, like the title says, there's going to be two stories happens at the same time, one in the ocean and the other in the sand.

Because of the extension and the differences between the seasons, I can't make a full list with credits because it would be eternal, but I'm gonna tell you a few of them.

The series was created and directed by
Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk

Music by: Mac Quayle (2014-2021) / James Levine (2011-2014)

Some of the most common and famous members of the cast are:

Evan Peters
Sarah Paulson
Lily Rabe
Denis O'Hare
Kathy Bates
Frances Conroy
Jessica Lange
Angela Bassett
Emma Roberts
Cheyenne Jackson
Adina Porter
Billie Lourd
Leslie Grossman
Taissa Farmiga

And a long etc.

Remember that none of them have only one character.

And I'm gonna leave a link in case you want to see the full list of everything.

So, reaching to the end of this blog, here are my favourites

Honestly, it's imposible to choose only one episode between 113 but 2 episodes I remember that I really enjoy were "The seven wonders" (from Coven, which is also my favourite season) and "Apocalypse then" (from Apocalypse) both are the final episodes from each season.

And some of the most iconic lines in my opinion

"Don't you ever let a man, tell you who you are or make you feel like you are less than he is"
Jessica Lange in Asylum as Sister Jude on her deathbed to Kit's daughter.

"Let me give you a fair warning: I'll always win against the patriarchal male"
Jessica Lange in asylum as Sister Jude to Dr. Arden.

"You were wrong. There is something more dangerous in this world than a humiliated man. A nasty woman"
Sarah Paulson in Cult as Ally to Kai.

"I'm not naive to the ways of men. their need to objectify, conquer. They see what the want to see. Women, however, can see into the soul of a person "
Frances Conroy in Murder House as Moira O'hare to Vivien Harmon

"You will get to watch me die, but you won't find it satisfying. Satan has one son, but my sisters are legion, motherf*cker"
Sarah Paulson in Apocalypse as Cordelia Goode to Michael Langdon before killing herself.

You can watch the series on Cuevana3, I swear you won't regret it.
